The Valley of Shepherds: Pahalgam (2,130 m) was once a humble shepherd's village with breathtaking views. Now it is Kashmir's premier resort. It is situated in the valley surrounded by 12 snow capped peaks and pine and Cedar forests. It is famous as the base camp for many treks. The most important trek is Amarnath Yatra. (Amarnath Caves) is just about 50km from the Pahalgam. Around Pahalgam are many places of interest, and because the resort is set between fairly steep hills, it is worth hiring a pony rather than walking. Pony fares are posted at prominent locations. The most beautiful of these is the huge, undulating meadow of Baisaran, surrounded by thickly wooded forests of pine. Hajan, on the way to Chandanwari, is an idyllic spot for a picnic. Filmgoers will recognize it instantly as it has been the location of several movie scenes.
Day 01: Arrival in Srinagar
On arrival in Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir), India-Tourism.Ws representative greets and transfers you to the Deluxe Houseboat moored at beautiful lake. Freshen up and relax. In the evening, enjoy Shikara Ride on the water of picturesque Dal Lake to enjoy the awesome sunset view in perfect locales. Dinner and overnight stay will be on board the houseboat.
Day 02: Srinagar – Local Sightseeing
Enjoy hearty breakfast. After breakfast, enjoy sightseeing tour of world famous mughal gardens like Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love) and Nishat Bagh (Abode of Pleasure). Return back to houseboat and take hot lunch. Enjoy other local sightseeing and explore nature beauty. Later, enjoy Shikara Ride on the Dal Lake to enjoy the beauty of Goa that has God gifted to this beautiful city. Also get a view of some very interesting places around the Lake. Dinner and overnight stay will be on board the houseboat.
Day 03 : Srinagar – Gulmarg – Srinagar
Take sumptuous breakfast in the morning. After breakfast take day return trip to Gulmarg. Gulmarg is one of the most beautiful hill resorts in the valley of Kashmir. It is the highest Golf Course in the world. It has one of the finest skiing trails in the world. It is the perfect destination for golf course in summer and skiing during the winter season. You will have brilliant opportunity to enjoy the splendor of nature and the snowy mountains. You will also have opportunity to enjoy Gondola Ride (Cable Car Ride) from Gulmarg to Khalinmarg. In the evening return back to Srinagar and check into your houseboat. Dinner and overnight stay will be on board the houseboat.
Day 04 : Srinagar – Sonmarg – Srinagar
Have a very hearty breakfast on the houseboat. Later, enjoy full day excursion trip to Sonmarg. Enjoy beautiful drive to Sonmarg from Srinagar. On the way, stop at many eye-catching spots. Enjoy horse ride to visit to Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round the year. Sonmarg is famous as the Gateway of Ladakh. In the evening, return back to Srinagar and check into the houseboat. Dinner and overnight stay will be on board the houseboat.
Day 05 : Srinagar – Pahalgam – Srinagar
Take very hearty breakfast on the houseboat. Enjoy day return trip to Pahalgam. On the way, visit Saffron Fields, Awantipur Ruins and Anantnag Sulpher Spring. Pahalgam is also famous for Indian Film Industry. Pahalgam has been portrayed on many Indian films. Enjoy the nature charm of the Valley. In the evening, return back to Srinagar and check into the houseboat. Dinner and overnight stay will be on board the houseboat.
Day 06 : Srinagar
Have a very hearty breakfast on the houseboat. Visit the Shankaracharya Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple provides one of the magnificent views of Srinagar City and lovely lakes. Dinner and overnight stay will be on board the houseboat.
Day 07 : Srinagar – Departure
Have a very hearty breakfast at the houseboat. Spend rest of the day at leisure. In the afternoon, India-Tourism.Ws representative transfers you to the airport to catch flight for your home/next destination.
